The program has already been studied. What happens next is what produces results: the concrete question, at the concrete moment, with a customer or a machine in front of you. The advisor exists for that moment, and works in four ways.
01 · Resolves
The question from the job, with the program’s criteria.
“Can I give this discount?” “What pressure do we test this valve at?” “What do I tell the auditor if they ask this?” The person consults in the light of what they learned and gets an answer to act on now, drawn from the content your company signed off.
02 · Advises
Applies the criteria to the real case.
“I have this customer, this problem, this meeting in twenty minutes.” The advisor answers with the program’s criteria applied to that situation, not with theory. Like the most experienced colleague in the company, the one you can ask without embarrassment, at any hour.
03 · Simulates
Plays the customer, the auditor or the boss.
Before it is for real, the person rehearses. The advisor plays the difficult customer, the standard’s auditor or the boss who asks questions, and then says what went well and what to correct. People perform better once they have practised.
04 · Stays within the frame
No making things up. No improvising.
If something is not in the content your company signed off, the advisor does not improvise: it says so, and points to who to ask. What the company did not approve, the advisor does not apply. That is why it can be put in front of the whole operation without risk.
